Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) is a process of managing human activities and natural resources on watershed areas taking into account social, economic and environment issues as well as local community interest.

Climate Change Management involves addressing the challenges that arise from climate change through both mitigation and adaptation efforts. It encompasses actions such as developing policies, strategies, establishing institutional mechanisms, providing financial support, and building capacity. DITEC primarily emphasizes reducing the susceptibility of critical natural and human systems to adverse climate change impacts while also ensuring the ongoing functionality of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems for the future.

Projects undertaken in this domain encompass various initiatives, with one notable example being the promotion of sustainable climate change mitigation through the implementation of biogas technology in Mwanga District, Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania.

In this field of operation, DITEC plays a role in empowering communities to identify and kickstart their own solutions for economic, social, and environmental challenges, ultimately fostering the development of thriving and sustainable communities.

Projects accomplished in this realm encompass the following:

3.1.1. Implementation of a Sustainable Beekeeping Project aimed at boosting the local economy of the Monduli District community in Tanzania.

3.1.2. Promotion of Organic Farming Practices within primary schools located in the vicinity of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

3.1.3. Establishment of tree nurseries by women's groups to enhance the local economy of women in the Monduli District, Tanzania.

3.1.4. Beekeeping project on MSWAKIN I Primary School: DITEC ORG provides beekeeping skills to both youth and women's groups, offering training to established groups in honey packaging and market research. Numerous individual beekeepers and groups have greatly benefited from this initiative, experiencing positive economic impacts at the micro-level across various districts in the country.
